Gracie Square Triplex

By combining a duplex and simplex apartment, our clients created a sprawling triplex on Gracie Square. The family wanted to express their taste through curated and refined finishes that also served to highlight their art collection. The Living Room is a prime example of what intensely reflective surfaces achieve by inviting the view indoors with high-gloss ceilings. The Entry Gallery is in subtle hues with bronze doors inlaid with crafted shagreen and a custom plaster ceiling. Wall finishes are elegant and unique. The Living Room is fully paneled in German bleached white oak, the Dining Room is clad in gridded parchment panels, and the Study has a tortoise shell wall finish and gold leaf application on the ceiling. The Kitchen expresses a Danish Modern sensibility with its custom enameled floor in a herringbone layout. Each Bathroom is made with quarry-chosen stones, meticulously cut and carved to maintain their inherent patterning. In this triplex, the palette is tonal and subtle, but the gloss finishes morph with colors from the view, making every room feel like a tableau in motion.
