CPW Tower

High up in CPW Tower, this large pied-à-terre was featured in Architectural Digest. Its stylistic sensibilities are expressed through chevron-patterned floors throughout and the interplay of color, texture, and materials for a simple, elegant demeanor. Many walls are of wide plank American white oak, lending a Scandinavian simplicity to the overall program. Stone played a crucial role in the design of this home, much of it integrating equipment behind it. The Arabescato solid slab stone in the Kitchen hides the stove hood, and oak wood cabinetry is flush with the appliances for a smooth, edgeless profile. In the Bathrooms, carved tubs and sinks from single slabs with beautiful veining make them appear almost weightless. The doors between the Gallery, Library, Living and Dining Rooms are bronze with textured glass. The carefully considered efficiency of this home conceals the mechanical and highlights the grace of smooth lines.
