Our client purchased this space on a high floor in part for its outstanding views. They were looking for a full renovation that embraced a fun, youthful approach achieved through rich materials and textures. The Entry Foyer’s walls are wrapped in parchment and the matching ceiling and floors are Fior de Bosco stone with bronze inlays. The Dining Room is outfitted in blue suede walls with bronze trim and custom sculpted hardware. A niche is wrapped in leathered stone with a textured finish. In the Living Room, the inset bar is clad completely in slab stone. The Dressing Room is a standout space with its suede ceiling and rich, deep French walnut walls with integrated lighting and bronze fittings. Entering the Powder Room is like tumbling into a fairytale when greeted by the 48” diameter glass verre mirror whose large black “hole” is actually reflective. The see-through cast acrylic sink is lit from below, adding a soft rosy hue to the marble walls that resemble birch bark. Lighting plays a prominent role in all the intimate spaces, lending an air of the not quite real.
